Nuria Melero. La abstracción de la Naturaleza is an artist’s book featuring a selection of graphic works by Nuria Melero. Written by journalist and writer Sònia Hernández, the book reviews the different stages of Melero’s artistic production. Art director Miriam Lara provides a creative vision where text and prints reflect the artist’s symbolic universe. Melero’s work explores the expressive possibilities of abstract printmaking, using nature as both the starting point and endpoint in constructing a cosmos, a reality, and an ontological environment.
The book includes 13 etchings, 2 digital works, and 1 mural installation, all meticulously digitized. The printing and binding were carried out by ‘The Folio Club’ in Barcelona using a semi-handcrafted approach. The chosen paper for the book is Old Mill 190g by Fedrigoni. The binding is layflat, allowing the reproduced works to be viewed uninterrupted across the two open pages. The book consists of 18 double pages and features 25 copies from this first edition, each numbered and signed by the artist.
